After a year of conception, planning, and execution, the reborn René Mouawad Sanayeh Garden opens to the public, attracting more than 22,000 people on its first weekend. With new features including three secure playgrounds, a new central fountain, cycling and jogging paths, and extensive leisure and entertainment spaces, the Garden soon regains its former status as a centerpiece of daily life in Beirut.
